Meet and Greet at Stafford’s for Dr. Claudia Lourido-Habib, President of Porterville College.

Saturday, December 14, 2019              Christmas Brunch (Gurrola’s House)     10:00 a.m.

The Christmas Brunch will be a potluck for members and invited guest.  A boutique will be open to raise funds for AAUW.  We recommend that 50% of the funds raised be donated to Porterville Strings in memory of Ellen Nichols.

Saturday, February 1, 2020                  Open Forum                              10:00 a.m.

Currently checking a site for the open forum.  This program speakers will come from the membership on the following topics that have been recommended:

Immigration    (Teresa Dela Rosa)

Veterans          (Maria Roman)

Recycling         (Barbara Larsen)

Riverland Trust           (Julie Allen – need to confirm)

Each of the presenters will speak on their specific topic for 10 minutes and then have an open Q&A.  This is considered an open forum as other issues or topics may be discussed during the hour and half session.  It’s meant to bring members together for discussion and invite the public.

This will be AAUW Annual Business Meeting and Installation of Officers.  Location to be announced at a later date.  We are thinking perhaps having lunch at a local restaurant.
